CLEARFIELD: Former DuBois Police Chief Blaine Clark will resume his legal action against several city officials on Friday, April 4 at the Clearfield County Courthouse before Judge Kenneth G. Valasek, S. J. Specially Presiding.

The case had been scheduled to begin with motions to be heard on March 14, but illness struck someone on the court's side of the matter which brought about the delay that pushes proceedings to April 4.
On Thursday, October 3, Clark filed a civil lawsuit in Clearfield County court, seeking over $300,000 in damages.
The lawsuit names the City of DuBois, council members Jennifer Jackson and Elliott Gelfand, Mayor Pat Reasinger, former interim city manager Chris Nasuti, and Assistant Police Chief Dustin Roy as defendants.
According to the six-count complaint, Clark was placed on administrative leave and later dismissed in April of 2024, a move his legal team led by Bill Shaw (former district attorney and current member of the John "Herm" Suplizio legal team) argues was unjust.
The lawsuit also alleges that Clark had been looking into possible misconduct by city officials, including parking violations, prior to his termination.
Clark has filed the necessary paperwork to appear on the May 20 ballot in the Republican primary alongside 10 others. The top seven vote-getters will move on to be printed for consideration on the general election ballot this November where the top seven over all (of at least 9 known candidates expected to move on) will become the new government for the consolidated DuBois in the first week of 2026.
Clark spoke briefly at the most recent meeting of the Joint Board Consolidation Committee on March 19 about public safety-specifically taking aim about the possible closure of fire stations at consolidation--something he made clear he opposes.
