CLEARFIELD: Clearly Ahead Development CEO Robert Swales will assume the role of President of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association (PEDA) beginning January 1, 2026.

Swales steps into the statewide leadership position with decades of experience in community and economic development. During his tenure at Clearly Ahead, he has overseen a range of initiatives focused on attracting and retaining industry, supporting small business growth, and strengthening the overall economic position of Clearfield County and the surrounding region.

“It’s truly an honor to be chosen by colleagues from across Pennsylvania to help guide PEDA’s work,” Swales said. “I look forward to advancing policies that promote smart economic development, encouraging collaboration among professionals, and championing strategies that drive business expansion and job creation throughout the Commonwealth.”

His role will include advocating for effective development programs, strengthening partnerships between public and private sector leaders, and promoting sustainable growth strategies across the state.

Swales will serve a two-year term leading the association.
