CLEARFIELD: Pennsylvania Treasurer and gubernatorial candidate Stacy Garrity will make a campaign stop in Clearfield County on Tuesday, February 10, hosting a public meet-and-greet at Grice Gun Shop from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The event is open to the public and will give residents an opportunity to meet Garrity in person, ask questions, and discuss the issues she says are shaping Pennsylvania’s future. Supporters and undecided voters alike are encouraged to attend.
Garrity brings decades of experience in military service, business leadership, and state government to her campaign. A 30-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, she retired with the rank of colonel after completing three overseas deployments during Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Her military decorations include two Bronze Stars and the Legion of Merit.
Before entering elected office, Garrity worked in the private sector as a vice president at Global Tungsten & Powders Corp. In 2020, she was elected Pennsylvania Treasurer after defeating a sitting incumbent. Since taking office, she has emphasized reducing government waste, strengthening transparency, and protecting taxpayer dollars.
Now seeking the governorship, Garrity says she plans to draw on her combined experience as a soldier, business executive, and statewide officeholder to position Pennsylvania as a state where families can thrive and businesses can grow.
A native of Bradford County, Garrity is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and also completed coursework at the Cornell University Business Management Institute. As Treasurer, she has made a point of visiting all 67 Pennsylvania counties each year, meeting with residents and local leaders.
The upcoming appearance marks Garrity’s first visit to Clearfield County in 2026. Additional campaign stops will be announced through the Clearfield County GOP Facebook page, as well as on clearfieldcountygop.com and garrityforpa.com.
