NEW BETHLEHEM: Keegan Bell has officially taken office as a member of the New Bethlehem Borough Council, beginning his service to borough residents and the wider Redbank Valley community.

Bell was sworn in during a recent ceremony conducted by New Bethlehem Mayor Rev. Dr. Gordon V. Barrows. The oath was administered using the Holy Bible, underscoring the significance of the moment and Bell’s commitment to public service.

With Bell seated, the borough council is now comprised of Scott Barrett, President; Edward Goth, Vice President; Shannon Johnson, President Pro Tem; Richard McGarrity, Secretary; Dawn Callenberg, Councilwoman; Brian Fox, Councilman; Rob Griffin, Councilman; and Keegan Bell, Councilman.

Borough officials and community members welcomed Bell’s addition, citing the importance of civic participation and leadership continuity as New Bethlehem addresses ongoing municipal priorities across the Redbank Valley.

New Bethlehem Borough Council meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Windstream/Alltel Building, located at 212 Lafayette Street.
