TREASURE LAKE: A strong turnout and steady bites made for an exciting day at this year’s Fishing Rodeo, where nearly 200 fish were reeled in and young anglers competed for top honors.
A total of 189 fish were caught during the event, including 120 trout, 32 bluegill and 17 perch. Organizers stocked 200 rainbow trout in advance of the rodeo, giving participants plenty of opportunities to fill their buckets.
Boys Division Results
In the boys division, Hunter Lumberg claimed first place with an impressive total weight of 122 ounces.
Owen Lumberg secured second place with 61 ounces, followed closely by Wyatt Perlock in third with 60 ounces.
Owen Maxim finished fourth with 59.5 ounces, and Colton Tippett rounded out the top five with 57 ounces.
Girls Division Results
In the girls division, Lila Nasuti took first place with a standout performance, landing 16 fish for a combined weight of 160 ounces — the highest total of the event.
Addison Craig earned second place with 84.5 ounces, while Emma Rhone also recorded 84.5 ounces to take third.
Javaya Spencer placed fourth with 62 ounces. Willow Hanes also weighed in at 62 ounces but declined her prize. Addi Maxim completed the standings with 57 ounces.
As the overall top angler, Lila Nasuti will have her name engraved on the Loden’s Gem Crystal Fish Award in recognition of her achievement.
Organizers congratulated all participants and thanked families for coming out to support the event. With a successful day on the water and nearly all stocked trout accounted for, the group is already looking ahead to next year’s rodeo.
